Introduction of Gas Storage and Transportation System in Gas Pipeline Engineering

Gas pipeline engineering is a kind of gas transmission project. This paper mainly introduces the composition and types of gas pipeline engineering, how to store different kinds of gas, and the debugging and testing methods of gas transmission system.

Gas Pipeline Engineering

What are the components of gas pipeline engineering?

1. Components of gas pipelines (pipes, valves, fittings, flanges, compensators, sealing gaskets, fasteners, expansion joints, flexible joints, pressure-resistant joints, pressure hoses, drains, filters, separators, etc.)

2. Pipeline supports include installations (suspenders, spring hangers, cable-stayed bars, balance hammers, tightening bolts, supporting rods, chains, guideways and anchors, as well as load-type fixtures such as saddles, bases, rollers, brackets and sliding supports) and attachments (pipe hangers, lifting ears, clamps, pipe clamps, U-shaped clamps, fastening splints and skirt tube holders).

3. Pipeline welding materials (welding rods, wires, flux, protective gas) should be supplied according to the requirements of the pipeline system to meet the construction schedule.

4. Other materials, such as FRP, rubber, plastics, paint, heat insulation (heat or cold) materials, waterproof materials, anticorrosive materials, etc., can guarantee the supply according to the requirements of the construction period.

Classification of industrial gases

Ordinary gas, also known as bulk gas (Bulk gas): hydrogen (H2), nitrogen (N2), oxygen (O2), argon (A2), etc.

Special gases are mainly SiH4 PH3 B2H6 A8H3 CL HCL CF4 NH3 OCL 3 SIH2CL2 SIHCL 3 NH3 BCL3 SIF4 CLF3 CO C2F6 N2O F2 HF HBR SF6... Wait

Storage and use of special gases

For corrosive, toxic and combustible gases, cylinders are usually designed to be placed in gas cabinets (Gas Cabinet), and then supplied to the Near-Site valve box (VMB, Valve Manifold Box) through pipelines, and then into the POU (Point of Use) of the process platform. Before entering the machine chamber, there will be an independent gas control panel (GB, GasBox) and process control module on-line. Mass Flow Controller (MFC) is used to control the flow rate and the mixing proportion of intake air. Usually, this gas control panel belongs to a part of the process equipment rather than to the design of the plant service system. Normally, inert gases are supplied by an open gas rack and a valve disc (VMP, Valve Manifold Panel).

Debugging and testing requirements of gas conveying system:

1. Strength test: The pressure of the tube is up to 0.8 MPa by impinging high purity nitrogen, and the pressure can be maintained if the pressure does not drop to qualified within 10 minutes.

2. Tightness experiment: The pressure of the tube is 0.5 MPa by impinging high purity nitrogen, and the pressure can be maintained if the pressure does not drop to qualified within 30 minutes.

3. Clean test: Push pure nitrogen into the pipeline, close all valves, open the end valves and put a white cloth on the pipe mouth for a minute. If there is no impurities and water on the white cloth, it will be qualified.
